Currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on a staggering $50 million bond, Combs’ legal team is fighting to secure his release before the trial begins on May 5. Defense attorneys argue that Combs should be allowed to prepare for his defense under strict conditions, including 24/7 surveillance by an independent security team and limited contact with only legal counsel and select family members. They emphasized that these proposed restrictions would be more stringent than his current detention.
